To mothers of the world

I found this beautiful poem and speaks volumes of the way I feel on mothers day. I lost my mother when I was young. My memories of her are still there and strong and full of love. I just want her to know if I can be half the mother she was then I will be happy.
Miss you mummy...

for all the mothers who miss their mothers

I often contemplate my childhood, Mom.
I am a mother now, and so I know
Hard work is mixed together with the fun;
You learned that when you raised me long ago.

I think of all the things you gave to me:
Sacrifice, devotion, love and tears,
Your heart, your mind, your energy and soul--
All these you spent on me throughout the years.

You loved me with a never-failing love
You gave me strength and sweet security,
And then you did the hardest thing of all:
You let me separate and set me free.

Every day, I try my best to be
A mother like the mom you were to me.

My dreams and thoughts...

I have dreams for the future. I wonder if I believe enough will they come to fruition? I want a small farm to call my own. I want to be able to grow my fruit and vegetables and herbs all year round. I want to live a sustainable life and bring my children up knowing this way of life. Its a pretty simple dream I have but to me it would be paradise. I hope I reach this dream in the not to distant future. Every day I take one more little baby step towards it.

Whats your dream?

Well I have moved to the far north of australia. Everything went smoothly. Considering I'm terrified of flying I think I did well after taking 3 flights with two young children hahah. I only squealed once and it was a bumpy landing down to Alice Springs. Here are some pics of the beuty of clouds.

Best wishes

Last Hurrah!

Well as we are moving to the north of Australia soon my family and I went for a little overnight trip along our favourite part of the coast. If you ever get to travel along the western coast of Australia you will understand where I'm coming from. The water is spectacular, the landscape is amazing. We drove from Lancelin to Cervantes stopping at some magnificent beaches. My favourite being Hangover bay. It was a stormy ole day too but still great swimming.

There is something magical about the ocean

The Stars Go Over The Lonely Ocean by Robinson Jeffers

Unhappy about some far off things
That are not my affair, wandering
Along the coast and up the lean ridges,
I saw in the evening
The stars go over the lonely ocean,
And a black-maned wild boar
Plowing with his snout on Mal Paso Mountain.

The old monster snuffled, "Here are sweet roots,
Fat grubs, slick beetles and sprouted acorns.
The best nation in Europe has fallen,
And that is Finland,
But the stars go over the lonely ocean,"
The old black-bristled boar,
Tearing the sod on Mal Paso Mountain.

"The world's in a bad way, my man,
And bound to be worse before it mends;
Better lie up in the mountain here
Four or five centuries,
While the stars go over the lonely ocean,"
Said the old father of wild pigs,
Plowing the fallow on Mal Paso Mountain.

"Keep clear of the dupes that talk democracy
And the dogs that talk revolution,
Drunk with talk, liars and believers.
I believe in my tusks.
Long live freedom and damn the ideologies,"
Said the gamey black-maned boar
Tusking the turf on Mal Paso Mountain.

Have a wonderful new year my friends
